Joomla frequently release security updates to ensure that hackers and other nasties have a smaller chance of affecting sites built with it.
In order to take advantage of these updates they need to be installed using a very simple process. You can click on the magnifying glass on the right of the image if you want to a see a bigger version. 1. Log into your admin area as usual. 2. BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE, DO A BACKUP 3. Select the update manager in the drop down menu 4. Click on the "download the update file" link 5. You will get the option to do a full package or a patch package choose PATCH PACKAGE (this is important!) 6. Next click on "you can proceed with the install" 7. You should get a message saying " "You have successfully upgraded your Joomla! install! Congratulations!" 8. If your upgrade does not work - call our web partners, Your Web Services on 01428 715552 and they will assist you.
